Prior to the joining the firm, Mr. Kondrla practiced with a boutique business and environmental law firm in New Jersey, where he represented corporations, small businesses, and individuals in a variety of environmental, construction, and land use and zoning matters. There, he counseled property owners affected by varying forms of environmental contamination, and served as trusted outside counsel to an environmental engineering firm in litigations and regulatory compliance and counseling matters. Mr. Kondrla also counseled clients in the assessment and acquisition of environmentally impacted real property, ensuring purchaser liability protections under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act and state equivalents.
Mr. Kondrla attended Vermont Law School and focused his legal education on environmental and natural resource law. He earned an Academic Excellence Award in Legal Writing II: Theory and Practice and was a two-time member of the School’s Tulane National Baseball Arbitration Competition team. Mr. Kondrla also worked as a student clinician at Vermont Law School’s Land Use Clinic within the state’s Agency of Natural Resources, gaining substantive experience in environmental and land use law. In addition, Mr. Kondrla served as a law clerk at the United States Department of Justice, Environmental and Natural Resources Division, Law and Policy Section, and participated in litigations of national significance involving the Clean Water Act.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Kondrla worked as an environmental, health, and safety consultant, where he developed and managed regulatory compliance programs in the chemical, petrochemical, energy, and biofuel industries. Mr. Kondrla worked extensively with the complex regulatory and technical requirements of industry and is particularly adept at the interpretation and application of same to clients’ legal matters.
Mr. Kondrla is a member of the New Jersey State Bar.
